Asset Finance

Asset financing refers to the use of a company's assets such as stock, plant and machinery, balance sheet assets, including short-term investments, inventory, and accounts receivable, to borrow money or get a loan. It is a practical solution to cash problems by allowing the borrower to borrow money using any of the businesses assets as security. The company borrowing the funds must therefore provide the lender with a security interest in the assets in exchange for the finance, this is where the “asset finance” phrase comes from. The funds could also be acquired for the purchase of fixed infrastructure assets.
